MORS Research and Development

Was any research performed on MORS to ensure it is a reliable, valid instrument?

Yes, the MORS went through rigorous reliability and validity testing. A thorough description of that process was published in the Community Mental Health Journal under the title “Psychometric Properties of an Assessment for Mental Health Recovery Programs"

Can the MORS be altered?

No. The MORS is a copyrighted product owned by MHALA. Altering the instrument would change the reliability and validity of the data produced.

How should MORS data be tracked/analyzed?

MORS data can be manually tracked within an excel spreadsheet or incorporated into an Electronic Health Record. It is important that any means used to track MORS data records data history. MHALA has created a database software program called the MORS Report Generator (MRG) that is easy to use for the entering, tracking, and analyzing of MORS data. A simple interface allows for direct entry or import from other programs and many diverse reports are available for analyzing the data from multiple perspectives.
